  just had 2 elders invite me to my judicial meeding about my marriage of two years.

  they think my husband was not legaly divorced.

  but he was and i had 3 lawyers tell me he was.

  I'm not going to the JC I haven't been to the KH is 2 years. I will tell as many as will listen why there are dfing me and how wrong it is. they had it out for me and even if I proved how wrong they are I would spend the next 10 years fighting. they would find what ever they could. my Brazen aditude or something

  In the USA 35 years old and we are NOT related by a far shot. different colors... A rumor went aroung from his EX that they were not divorced and the elder ran with it. wrote the GB and got the thumbs up to pursue a JC.

  I know if I wanted legaly they are wrong but I just don't care to play there game. I would be fighting to be part of something I don't agree with. I will write all the facts on a local chat forem that the majority of people read in this area. Just to put out how stupid they are... but right now I am too upset to be a good writer.

  At what point did you realize JW's were a Cult?

  most of us x-jw's at one point no doubt defended the jw's when called a cult.

  althought being out since 95', when i first came here it took awhile before i could use the cult word to describe the jw religion.

  finding out about the pedophile scandal was disgusting, but it was probably finding out here about the wts history and terrible personal experiences of some on this board that made me finally admit that the jw's were a cult.

  back in the early 80's right after i was married the main driving point i kept hearing at the meetings was "do more,,, pioneer ".. well being the young impressionable jw couple that we were, .

  my wife is a speech therapist, so working pt was no problem, but i ended up working construction, cleaning carpets, and shoveling snow at all hours with the brothers, and i worked like a d*** fool at all hours.. funny how there was so much support for me to work with the witnesses, but once the decision was made work could be very iffy at times.. and the main thing that just causes me to cringe now is how so many of the witnesses in charge of the congregation thought that we did not need insurance, my wife had a policy with her school district, but my son and i did not.

  granted medical expenses were not as bad then, but just the idea of thinking that we did not need it that god would watch over us just embarasses me to no end now.

  I gave a speach in one of my classes about the blood issue and convinced some that they would not recieve blood!!!

  what is the strangest or most wacked-out comment or answer you've ever heard at a wt or book study?.

  i remember at the cong.

  wt study, we were studying about the jews being led out of egypt by moses.

  a bible study said "playing in a rock band was better then sex itself!!!"

  a brother giving the "sex" talk had a concluding illustration of "it's like an ice cream cone... you have to lick it first to see if you like it" to this day not sure how he thought it tied in...
